Exploration #1 - Fuzzstortion
Meet the EXPLORATION #1 FUZZSTORTION, the first pedal in our brand new laboratory series.
The Fish Circuits EXPLORATION #1 is an elegant, minimalistic fuzzstortion. Don’t be fooled by its simple interface, the EXPLORATION #1 does a lot . Designed with BC549 silicon transistors, the pedal offers a surprisingly wide range of classic overdrive and fuzz tones, with an exceptional clean up when you roll-off your guitar’s volume control.
60 EXPLORATION #1 were made.
Controls
Controls
“Level” is the main volume control. Use it lightly to match your other pedals volume, moderately to drive the next pedal in your chain, or max it out to smash the front end of your amp, the world is your oyster. It’s a volume control, you know the drill.
‘’Texture’’ is where the magic happens. This 3 position rotary switch will alter the gain, sag, and thickness of the clipping circuit.
At its left position, this circuit is a phenomenal boost that will add volume and wonderful raspy fuzzy texture to your favorite gain pedals. Use it as an additional gain stage on your pedalboard, or push your amp further to achieve that desirable «about-to-explode» sound.
The middle position offers a touch responsive fuzzy overdrive. Use it as a standalone gain pedal, or stack it with a low-gain overdrive to get a great crispy rhythm tone.
The right position unleashes the fury, resulting in a vibey old school fuzz. This setting will give the thickest, most compressed sound of the EXPLORATION #1. Take advantage of the pedal’s exemplary clean up by riding your guitar’s volume control, and explore the range of sounds you can get, from glassy cleans to thick dark fuzz.

Exploration Series
Exploration Series
The Exploration Series is our laboratory line of pedal where we will experiment with circuit components, controls, and circuit design. A pedal-du-jour type thing, if you wish. Each iteration will be made in limited quantities and a new model will be released once or twice per year.
Some models may be brought back, as regular models or as additional drops, but the goal of this line of pedals is to allow us to be more flexible in the designs that we release.
